We have a team of students and volunteer counsellors offering counselling in humanistic, person-centred, CBT, integrative and psychodynamic counselling.
We offer placements for students at diploma and degree level for counsellors to get their therapeutic hours needed to qualify.
They are supported, managed and given appropriate training:
Child sexual and domestic abuse
PTSD and DID
Many students then stay on to volunteer once they have qualified and work towards accreditation and are given financial support with clinical supervision.
We have opportunities also for student and volunteer art therapists working with children and adults who again can gain their client hours and gain HCPC registration.
We also have opportunities for volunteers and students in reflexology, yoga, massage and mindfulness.
Many students stay on as volunteers as they benefit from training, CPD and support given under The Elm Foundation. This means they benefit from a wealth of experience in their learning.
